What to expect
Reliable participation matters more than perfect experience.
A committee chair should provide the purpose of the group, current priorities, meeting rhythm, and a realistic description of the work. Ask questions until the role is clear.
No prior board or committee experience is required. Respectful collaboration, preparation, communication, and follow-through are the most important starting points.
